Welcome to Miss D'Andrea's Class 1!
‘We may all be different,
but in this class we swim together’
but in this class we swim together’
In class 1 we work together as a team and love helping each other to be the very best we can be.
Miss D'Andrea is our class teacher and Mrs Mills works with us most days. On Thursday afternoon Mrs O’Neill teaches us French and R.E and Mr Hanford teaches us PE.
We have fantastically creative and curious minds and this means that first-hand experiences are what make learning meaningful for us. At the beginning of Year One, you will find many activities going on at one time in our classroom because we like to explore concepts in different ways and be truly independent. This style of teaching and learning builds on the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage, where children are encouraged to be active learners who play, explore and develop their own ideas. As a result, class 1 works to ensure a smooth transition from the Foundation Stage into Key Stage One.
