Awesome Year 6!
“Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean.”
Class 6 is an amazing group of children who bring and share their enthusiasm, thoughtfulness and enquiring minds to the classroom. In class 6 we all work together to discover new and exciting things through a mixture of group, individual and guided work. Our aim is to make learning fun, enjoyable and unforgettable!
Mr Bailey, supported by Mrs O'Neill, Mrs Cripps, Mrs Stenhouse and Miss Kalawsky endeavour to create an atmosphere that allows the children to flourish and achieve to their highest abilities.

World War One
Our topic this half term is World War One, our focus will be on the children learning about its many aspects. They will learn the reasons for the conflict; who was involved and where alliances were formed; investigate the different types of warfare that took place; how the children of the period adapted and we will also try to link this with our local history. The children will examine the geography of warfare and how this influenced the landscape of Europe today.

OUR DEEPEST FEAR
By Marianne Williamson
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness
That most frightens us.
We ask ourselves
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small
Does not serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine,
As children do.
We were born to make manifest
The glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us;
It’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we’re liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.
