“Can we have Parentmail please? I really would like to receive letters by email as I quite often receive letters late as unreliable boys don’t care about making sure letters come home. Think this would be a great benefit.”
After a brief and successful trial, we are now using Parentmail as our prime method of communicating with parents (alongside our text message service). Over 98% of our parents are able to access correspondence in this way – the remaining families will continue to receive hard copies of letters.
“Loved the small classes this year - thanks.”
Careful financial management over the last 3 years has meant that we are able to offer smaller than average class sizes across the school. Our longer-term aim is to have 7 single-year classes in school. Our number on roll continues to rise each year and we expect to be able to reach our aim within 3 years.
“My child is happy, and that's what is important.”
The happiness of our pupils is central to the ethos of the school. As a school, we seek to not only make children feel happy but ensure that our parents feel valued too. We have an open-door policy, finding time to deal with the issues that matter to our parents – no matter how big or small.

Homework is a divisive issue. Some Parents love it, others loathe it! Our policy is clear about the role homework plays at school, but we also recognise that time spent at home as a family should be instructive in other ways. Playing games, sharing a story, cooking together, engaging in conversation, going for a walk – are all fantastic ways to improve the quality of life for our children.

Mr Dunn will follow their lead (from now on) by using a microphone when addressing pupils, parents and staff in church.
“Sometimes parents are not given enough notice regarding activities at school which require parental input.”
We are working hard to increase the amount of notice given where parental involvement is requested in an activity. Emails and texts will be used to speed up the process.
