Just because you are not attending school it does not mean that we can't enhance learning and have fun at the same time. 
You and your parents or carers will find lots of fun activities to do together. This website will be updated regularly, so please visit to see more activities and 'fun things' that you can do.  Also don't forget to read your books and talk about what is happening, going back to the text to justify your answers. 
Remember that you also have homework activities sent home on the topic of 'Chocolate' too.

Art- Paint like Turner
Joseph Mallord William (J.M.W.) Turner was born in London in 1775. His father was a barber and wig-maker, and his mother came from a family of butchers. Turner was a landscape painter, traveller, poet and teacher. At the age of fourteen, he became a student at the Royal Academy of Arts. Turner was a Romantic artist and became well known for painting beautiful landscapes, dramatic storms and scenes of nature. He was quite famous during his lifetime, though not everyone liked his work! Now he is one of Britain's most loved artists.

Motion is the process of moving or being moved and forces cause motion to change. At its very simplest we can explain a force as a push or a pull and these forces often cause something to move - they cause motion. Forces aren’t only exerted by people - there are many different types of force:
Air resistance, water resistance and friction are examples of forces that resist motion and slow down the movement of things.
Gravity means unsupported objects fall towards the Earth.
Magnets attract and repel other magnets.

Using Informal and Formal Language
Formal language is used when we are communicating with people we don’t know very well and want to impress or show respect to. For example, police officers or head teachers. Informal language is used when we are more relaxed and with people we know well. For example: Think about how you would answer your best friend if they asked you what you did at the weekend. Now think about how you would answer the same question if your head teacher asked you instead. How would each answer be different? We often use formal language when we write. However, there are times where writing can be informal, like when we’re writing texts messages, emails, postcards or letters to friends. We use informal language more when we speak, but there are also times where it is expected that we speak formally. For example, in a classroom presentation or when meeting someone new.
